Katha pre-recorded at Seattle 21 May 2021.

Message:
Paramatma’s love is not a right that can be reserved. It is available for all to nurture and receive equally.  One must follow Guru’s Shabad to nurture this love within oneself and simultaneously see it within all of Paramatma’s creation.
Guru’s shabad acts as protection against all vices and we are able to overcome our shortcomings.  When we are engulfed in Paramatma’s love and the mind is attached to Guru’s Shabad even the Messenger of Death retreats in shame.  Paramatma, the perfect Lord,  is the author of our destiny and the bestower of all happiness and peace according to our karma.  Paramatma is eternal and imperishable. Service rendered in Paramatma’s name never goes in vain, one is released from worldly bonds and the mind becomes pure and at peace.

Reflection:
When we focus on the shortcomings of others it affects us by putting us in a negative state of mind. With this negative focus, we lose sight of the virtues and positive traits of others, giving place to ego and other vices. We can not get ahead on the spiritual path by feeling as if we are doing better than someone else. Humbleness, purity of mind and true love are what allow us to connect with Paramatma. As Hazrat Abdul Kadir Gilani Ji taught their disciples, the Creator does not differentiate or favorize. Anyone who believes they are better than someone else can not attain the blessings of Paramatma.
