Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji reminds us that ritual cleansing is of no use without having pleased the Creator by cleansing the mind. They guide us to listen to and follow the teachings of one’s Guru, to turn the mind into a gem; one that glistens like jewels and rubies with virtuous thoughts and capabilities. As it is our Guru who blesses us with the wisdom and judgment to realise that there is only one Creator who has created us all and who we should never fail to remember.
Reflection:
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s spiritual legacy lifted the haze of inequality, ego, oppression, cruelty and conflict. May we all be inspired by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and our Guru’s teachings to rid ourselves of our internal demons. May we seek wisdom from our Guru to help lift the haze from our minds so that it can be filled with constant love and remembrance of Paramatma.
