Katha pre-recorded at Seattle 23 November 2020.

Message:
The mind is strengthened upon meeting with a true Guru. One is able to remain balanced and conquer the mental conflict that causes distress.
The mind is no longer entangled in attachments to worldly things, maladies, sadness, and greed. Not troubled by insecurities, one concedes to the Creator’s will and realizes a constant state of bliss.
The new state of mind, that is achieved by following the teachings and direction of one’s Guru, sees the Creator in everything and acknowledges that all of Paramatma’s creation is great and perfect. The mind is enlightened by the Guru and now understands that it does not need pilgrimages, rituals and worldly gratification to feel secure. Through Guru’s grace one is ensured protection by being in a constant state of remembrance and under refuge of Paramatma.

Reflection:
Why do we look out for shortcuts that may help us to reach Paramatma? Like Bhai Tilku we need to approach spirituality with the wisdom that our entire life’s journey is about Paramatma. There is no rush; slowly and steadily we can journey through life experiencing the Creator in everything and in all circumstances.
Like Bhai Tilku we can focus on the blessings of our Guru without desiring more. As Sant Arjan Singh Ji has wished for us, we can pray for blessings by which we can remain balanced in both moments of joy and moments of struggle. As well as, wisdom and strength to carry out our worldly duties without losing ourselves to them so that the only desire that remains is Paramatma and anything that Paramatma wishes for us.
