Message:
It may be a difficult journey, but it is not impossible to reach the Creator through Inner Purity. Those who are humble and do not view others to be lower or lesser to them are the ones who make a conscious effort to remove themselves from the ego, discrimination and other vices that ruin the goodness within. We may be individually unique, but we have all been created equal by the Creator who loves and supports us all.
The Creator alone is our true support. Everything that comes to pass is at the will of The Creator. The Creator is not bound by the cycle of birth, life and death; the Creator is eternal and resides within all of us, executing every action with perfection and righteousness.
Sants live by meditating to the Creator. Through their devotion to Parmatma they support us all with a foundation of love and spiritual surrender to the Creator’s eternal powers and grace, because there is only one universal Creator, Parmatma, who is the savior and the protector of all.
Reflection:
The katha of Draupadi and Valimiki during the Mahabharat Ashwamed Yagna allows us to reflect that devotion and love in the eyes of the Creator is not classified by external appearances or one’s social status; it is by one’s true devotion and love that the Creator is appeased and bestows blessings.
Why then do we discriminate on the basis of these outward appearances that have no relevance to the inner purity of the individual? As Draupadi followed the teachings of Sri Krishna to remove her prejudice against Valmiki, we too should follow the teachings of our Guru to remove such vices from our character and view everyone else at least as good as us, if not more.
